Dolce&Gabbana’s Sicilian Baroque to start off autumn with the right look

After the holidays we immediately started back in the routine- busy but with lots of positive Energy. Plus we still had a bit of a tan, which makes everyone feel sexy. We’re so trendy that we already know what will be in for FW13!With these looks you would look perfect sitting in a quaint café in Paris, with a table on the street, sipping coffee and enjoying an éclair. Just soak up the romantic atmosphere, watch the leaves float to the ground and feel the autumnal breeze on your face.
The two outfits i advised are quit rich in textures and prints, so maybe just stick to an elegant bun for the hair no? Also, if its windy in the Parisian café your hair will stay in place! Continue reading “Dolce&Gabbana’s Sicilian Baroque to start off autumn with the right look” »

New York state of mind

One of my favourite cities to visit in New York, i think its best to go in the Autumn or Spring time. I went to visit one of my best friend in New York for two years in a row. I met her when living in LA for work. I’d say i know a bit of the American culture. I like NY for the culture and art, the music and of course the shopping. I like the mix between the European and American cultures in NY. When I walked down the road it was like being in a movie, the city is the protagonist of many of my favourite movies. Last year when i went i bumped into my drear friends @Giuliano Federico @Massimiliano Marchesani@Alessandro Sicoli. We went round  museums-Moma, Guggenheim and i went crazy with shopping! While at the Guggenheim we bumped into the model @Luis Kelling Continue reading “New York state of mind” »

Walking the RedCarpet with Dolce&Gabbana collection

We may not have been invited to the Venice Film Festival but we’re always in the mood for some beautiful eveningwear no? Here are two looks worthy of any star moment on the red carpet.
Gold, is the Dolce&Gabbana colour and the colour of stars, so put the two together with this golden gathered floor length dress with mermaid skirt and cleavage enhancing square neckline. Petroleum green lace, demure, elegant and silhouette enhancing- this second option is a red carpet gem. Accessory wise, simple is best. Opt for a sequined mini clutch or a satin one with bejewelled clasp, and the shoes, peep toe satin pumps with bow detail. And for some bling? Baroque golden curl earrings with rose and pearl pendants. Continue reading “Walking the RedCarpet with Dolce&Gabbana collection” »

i’m looking towards autumn with animalier and the baroque dolce and gabbana collection

Ever season Dolce&Gabbana revisit one of their classic looks, leopard print, and offer to us wild animalier lovers a new colour to drool over: this season it’s a beautiful pine green.
Dolce&Gabbana its more like a colour that a print- and it goes with almost anything. Take this Leopard green top for example, match it to a red lace midi pencil skirt for a sexy look for a romantic dinner. Alternatively, wear it with the season’s new trousers- the crop, for a feminine trousers look. Go wild with accessories: opt for a micro Sicily in matching green leopard print or a crochet and cross-stitch mix and match maxi version. With either look these peep toe lace booties will give the look a bit of scowl. Contrast it all with delicate cameo, rose and charm earrings and necklace. Sanremo with my Italian Family

I have told you all about my family already in a previous post. I live in mIlan and very far form my Korean family, but I have been lucky enough to find an Italian, actually Sicilian, family to “adopt” me over here: @Turi & @Angelina. I feel like one of the daughters. Its always such a pleasure to see with them, and I really love spending time with them. When they go to their summerhouse in Sanremo for the weekend, I go visit them, i love the beach. And they love it too. Whenever I go When I go @Angelina makes lovely typical Sicilian dishes for me to sample, but Pasta alla Norma (with ricotta and aubergine) is my favourite! The family is graced by a lovely little boy: Alessandro @Antonietta’s son. Continue reading “Sanremo with my Italian Family” »

My Mum and Dad come to Italy

Through this post i want to introduce to you my beautiful family. I live far away from them in Italy but they’re always in my heart. We’re far but close thanks to our love. There’s 5 of us in the family: my mum and dad, my oldest sister, me and my younger brother. Every year they come to see me in Italy, in turns, and we travel round Italy. I’m passionate about italy, its culture, food and language, and my family are also interested almost as much as I am. This year, for my mother’s 60th birthday they came to Italy. They all love to travel so much, to discover new place, see new things and one of their favourite means to do this is on a cruise. Every year, before boarding the cruise they stay a week in Italy with me. This year, my mum will celebrate her birthday on a cruise round the Greek islands. On their arrival in Milan my parents stayed with me. Two days to sleep off the jet-lag and see the city. We went to Piazza Duomo, Brera etc Continue reading “My Mum and Dad come to Italy” »

Flower broaches by theStylistme

In a previous post i told you all about my love of flowers. I really LOVE to create my own in my spare time, like these ones. I make them for my hair or attach them wherever i feel needs a bit of extra decor. I love all flowers, real and faux, and here i’ll tell you about how i make broaches with fabric flowers.I start by choosing flowers i like, i rather them large and colourful. From peonies to roses and amaryllis, i love them all. start by selecting flowers that work well together and to the base of them i attach some glue and stick them onto the pin. Here are my baskets of flowers, useful also to decorate my house! This is where i get my flowers in Milan: Anais via Malpighi Marcello – MI and Rinascente.

My flower broaches are multi use. You can wear them as actual broaches on clothes, or wear them in your hair or round your ankles in summer or on flip-flops. They always lend to your look a romantic and feminine air.  This is how i wear them! This way is Alternative you can exaggerate with flowers and apply floral broaches. I like to create my own in my spare time, like these ones. I make them for my hair or attach them wherever i feel needs a bit of extra decor. Continue reading “Flower broaches by theStylistme” »
