My second instalment of Yuri’s Corner is all about lace. Lace is a fundamental fabric for Dolce&Gabbana- it encapsulates many of the elements dear to the brand: Sicilian heritage, religious undertones, craftsmanship and sensuality. Continue reading “All Laced up in SS12 Dolce&Gabbana” »

Spring, like love is an endless source of inspiration
03/21/2012
Spring has forever inspired poets, thinkers and designers. Mother nature bestows her plentiful gifts to the world, and in turn, drawing from the miracle of nature, fashion designers bestow their gifts to us common mortals. Often Spring has been likened to a woman, the freshness, colours and the extended metaphor of birth intrinsically link the two together. For SS12, Dolce&Gabbana have tapped into this long established relationship and interpreted it in their own ways.

Cottage Garden in Milan
03/19/2012
This look is inspired by the intense and vivacious colours of a typical cottage garden in the English countryside. Its the perfect look for tea with friends. I love this H&M angora jumper. The colour is amazing and so is the fact that colour gradates, makes it chic. To make the jumper stand out a little more i attached coloured flowers like a broach. The flowers are made by thestylistme. I also added a multi strand pearl necklace to make the look a bit more elegant. Continue reading “Cottage Garden in Milan” »

SHOPPING EMERGENCY
03/15/2012
As you may have noticesd, i have a slight obsession with shoes. Having said that, one day i realised that i don’t have a shoe for my every styling need. I have shoes in lots of colours, shape and uses, but no black pumps. I started looking for some, but it was hard, there were almost none i liked. Black pumps are simple and classic, the shape of the heel and toe is essential. Unfortunately, the unfailing Christian Louboutin was of no help, cause they didn’t have my size. However, i discovered Alejandro Ingelmo – they were exactly what i wanted! I matched them with my favourite D&G parka with fur lining, and of course a touch of leopard print with my Dolce&Gabbana bag! Continue reading “SHOPPING EMERGENCY” »
